a day at the beach

a few weeks ago, chad played in the church golf outing, so kenley, jarrett and i decided to join our good friends john and crystal for an afternoon at the lake. it was a beautiful day and it was nice to get out of the house and relax out in the sun. kenley didn't want to be around the water, but she wasn't terrified of it like she was at draper's pool. she also didn't like the sand, because she can't stand for her hands and feet to be dirty. i made her stand on the shore in the sand and let the water come up over feet just so she could realize that it wasn't so bad after all. and of course i wanted to get a few pictures;) she stood there for a few minutes, and that was it. after that, she just sat on the blanket and watched the boats and jet skis. we tried to get her to help build a sand castle, but she's too girly to get her hands dirty.
