jam packed july!!

summer is flying by. i can't believe that in just a few days it will be july! it will be a busy busy month with lots of events and celebrations and preparations. The first weekend in july will consist of independence day celebrations of some sort. I am really excited about fireworks this year because I can't wait to watch Kenley's reactions. I really think she will love them. Last year she slept through them all. That weekend will also be spent celebrating our friend Parker's 2nd birthday. Kyle and Trisha are going to throw a great party for him and it's gonna be lots of fun! The second weekend in July we will be in schererville celebrating Brandyn and Jake's wedding. Brandyn is my good friend from college and I am honored to be a part of her special day! It will be fun to see some of my college friends who i haven't seen in such a long time. Two days before their wedding is our 3 year anniversary :) There are plenty of other things that will keep us very busy in july....the 4-H fair, my dads birthday(which he won't be home for because he will be in arizona on a mission trip), getting pictures taken for the new church directory, softball games, getting my new classroom ready(which will take TONS of time), hopefully taking a trip to the zoo, hopefully having a garage sale, and who knows what else.

Jarrett had his first smile a few weeks ago and has also been making little cooing sounds. I can tell he is growing because he has started to feel a little heavier and has started getting his little baby chubs. I took him to have his pictures taken with Kimberly last week. One of the elementary schools had done a fundraiser with her in which you get a 30 minute session and a 10x10 portrait for $20. I had bought two of them and I used the first one for Jarrett. The other one I will use for Kenley in a few months when she turns 2. Anyway, Kimberly was shooting some pics of Jarrett on his belly and guess what happened??? He rolled over!!!!! It was so exciting!! And he did it 3 more times while we were there! I couldn't believe that my 7 week old baby was actually rolling from his belly to his back. Since then he hasnt had much tummy time because he likes to roll too much :) here are a few pictures i caught of him as he started to roll...

Kenley loves to be outside. We recently took her to the Draper's house to go swimming for the first time this summer. She was terrified. She ran all the way down the driveway crying and kept saying "mommy, daddy, baby, no" because she didn't want any of us to be near the pool. I'm not exactly sure why she was so scared, maybe because it was a little cold when chad dipped her feet in, or maybe because it was so big to her. I ended up buying her a little pool to play in at our house and she loves it! She likes to splash and run and dive in. We will try the big pool again in a few weeks. here are a few pictures of her fun in the sun....
